Made-It Monday: DINOSAUR!

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

Last week, I had cause to make playdough for my Year 9 class for a creative writing activity, and while they were completing their task, I decided to make something too. One of the kids requested a dinosaur, so I’d like to introduce you to Steggie, the little Stegosaurus who now lives on my desk :3

Small, pale green stegosaurus made from play dough on a dark maroon leaf, sitting on a white desk with books and a tube of handcream visible in the background.

I used this recipe here, and sure enough, after kneading it for 5-10 mins it went glorious smooth and almost elastic. I scented it with a bit of eucalyptus oil, and mmmm, it was glorious.

Also, the cream of tartar in it acts as a preservative, so I gathered it up at the end of the lesson for my kids to use in the next couple of weeks. Hurrah! 😀

And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
