Made-It Monday: Actually A Different Cake This Time

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

Actually a new cake this week! :’D

This one’s a gluten-free white chocolate mud cake, with vanilla bean Vienna buttercream. Om nommity.

Although the design is super simple, the little bunch of jonquils and blossoms isn’t actually a single posy – each flower is individually wired and inserted into the cake, oy.

Also, if I’d realised we were going to do cut-cake photos, I would have made more of an effort to make sure the inside was pretty 😀 Maybe some different coloured fillings, but definitely trimming the cake properly so that dark line above the top layer of filling wasn’t there :’D

It’s things like that that I mean when I say one of my cakes isn’t technically sound. *thumbs up*.

And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
