On Rhythms, And The Regaining Thereof

We have been almost implausibly lucky here in Australia, and we are starting to ease our way out of shutdown. Gatherings of up to 20 will be permitted again as of the weekend, some cafes and whatnot are reopening for seated dining as long as strict social distancing is maintained (one person per 4 square meters IIRC), and most schools across the country will be back full time as of next week. So life is slowly inching its way back toward some form of normality.

To those of you still in the throes of shutdown agony and fear, hang in there. This will not go on forever. *hugs*.

Writing is still slow, partly because I’m really tired so focusing on things is hard, partly because I was sick last week (just a head cold, though I did what we are supposed to do and got tested for Covid, which came back clear), and partly because to be honest? I am so sick of screens right now.

So I’ve been picking away at words on paper by hand, and my writing is atrocious and it’s slow going, but it’s still easier than trying to force myself to focus when I’m on the computer.

And honestly, in the length of time it’s taken to write this, I’ve lost focus like five billion times and had to go do other things anyway, so apparently this is it for today. Thanks for coming to my amazing blog post ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜› ๐Ÿ˜€

PS Kickstarter for the book pins has three weeks to go, and we are about to announce that everyone who orders 6 or more pins gets a free pin, so now’s a good time to jump in. (If it hits $6k, everyone who orders 4+ pins gets the free one.)
