Oops, Dropped Off The Face Of The Planet For A Bit There…

Yeah, look, work has been hektik the last two weeks and sufficient sleep has not been a Thing. But! Today I finished with my marking for the year – shouldn’t have any more marking now until at least mid March?! – and Decoherence, Liana Brooks’ third Time & Shadows book, is currently with her for one final proofread before it comes back to me for final formatting then the print copy proof, so I have a few days of breathing space right now.

Which, of course, means my mental health has taken a hit ๐Ÿ˜› because when you’ve been pushing at 110% for too long and then you actually stop, your brain tends to crash while it recovers. Or, well, mine does anyway. It’s 9pm on Tuesday as I’m writing this, and of the last 48 hours, I’ve slept for over 20 of them and am just about ready to go back to bed now. The brain. She frazzled. La.

I don’t have anything else to say really except for yay, the deadlines are just about done for the year (ignoring the 2022 Inklets, which will be an Ongoing Thing of course; oh, and the artwork/graphic design I still ned to finish so I can fulfil the Time & Shadows Kickstarter; and, of course, the work for Decoherence itself, which comes out December 13…….) and I have nothing in particular planned over the summer, so I might actually manage to have enough of a break that I can start next year not feeling depleted ๐Ÿ™‚

I mean, I really, really, really want to get back to writing asap, but I know from past experience that it’ll come back when it does, and I can’t really force it any faster. Maybe I’ll do a post tomorrow about writing projects; I kind of feeling like doing a brain dump about them ๐Ÿ™‚
