Friday Favs

Okay trialling a new Friday tradition here for a bit, which is Friday Favs. Feel free to reply with anything you’ve particularly been enjoying this week, and let’s end the week on a note of gratitude and joy 🙂 <3

Shareable things I have greatly enjoyed/appreciated this week:

  • Lazy Housewife beans. Truly living up to their name and sprouting magnificently literally one week after planting.
  • Wish Bound, the final book in the Grimm Agency series. Might be the first series I’ve finished all year?
  • Honeydew melon black tea? I know it sounds weird but work with me here: it’s black tea, but with melon-sweet undertones. I didn’t order a restock of this last time I shopped from this tea shop as I was feeling kind of meh about the flavour, but having drank the last of it today now I’m really sad there isn’t more? Might have to restock it after all.
  • Health Lab’s Miranda’s Delight bars. I went to a bridal shower nearly two weeks ago that was a high tea, and while it was DELIGHTFUL (see what I did there?) and catered to my gluten-free, lactose-free self, it obviously contained HIGH LEVELS of refined sugar, which means I’ve spent the last nearly-two-weeks fighting sugar cravings, insomnia, and all sorts of intolerance-related shenanigans. These bars are a lifesaver in addressing the craving for something sweet while skipping the refined sugar that plays havoc with my body chemistry >.<
  • Amie McNee’s The Inspired Collective – we had our first create session last Sunday for the semester (I’ve just joined two, three weeks ago when the doors were last open) and OMG IT WAS CHARMING to just sit at my desk on zoom/whatever with a bunch of other creative people and work on our art (including writing) together. Bonus, my daughter was the only other person in the house that day and decided to join in, sitting at my desk and colouring while I blogged and worked on the novel 🙂 🙂 Talk about soul food.

‘Kay, that’s all I got this week. Let me know what’s been getting YOU through!! <3
