I have topics I want to blog on, but this is not a great week for writing long posts since I am scrambling to get my impossible deadlines met before Christmas.
Today, though:
Finished a play mat for the Etsy store (and promptly put the store into holiday mode, ha). Shopped for cellophane and post bags for said mat, as well as Sushi Go! Party (which I was introduced to at work last week and it’s fantastic fun, and I’m collecting some board games to play with my quality-time-requiring seven-year-old), AND OMG SHORTS THAT FIT. You GUYS. I found women’s shorts that FIT ME and ARE LONGER THAN, LIKE, AN INCH in the inner leg seam. They are actual adult-woman shorts for people who don’t feel like showing off half an acre of wobbling thigh. (Totes okay if you do, I just don’t feel comfortable in short-shorts, and for the last decade, it’s been impossible to find longer shorts to buy, and no, men’s shorts don’t work either because for them you can have EITHER a bum OR thighs, not both.)
So. I splurged and bought myself 8 pairs of shorts, because I’m camping for two weeks and I want to be comfortable, dammit. I was actually super worried about camping because I *didn’t* have any appropriate clothing, so. This is super happy.
Also achieved: a wrap-around cover. A set of pictorial instructions. Approving the print files for How To Create Cultures, omg. I am going to puke with nervousness about this one, you guys. It is SUCH a massive book, in terms of the research and time and effort, and I am SO pleased it’s done, and… probably no one will buy it? And I will be sad because my amazing, comprehensive, superbly-researched piece of thing will languish?
These are my fears, anyway. Welcome to pre-release jitters, I guess. Never had these before, but then again, I’ve never had to put this many hours into making a book before either.
Now to figure out a way to format the ebook properly with all the side notes, and get it uploaded before Christmas, since I MADE A TYPE ON AMAZON AND PUT THE 7TH NOT THE 17TH AND AMAZON WON’T LET YOU REVOKE OR EXTEND A PRE-ORDER WITHOUT CONSEQUENCES. *dies*.
Okay. Bed time, and 1% battery, which will hopefully last until I post this please God please let it last…………
