Speaking of Inklets, How About A Subscription (Or Two)?

Soooooo for a while now Liana and I have been bouncing ideas back and forth about how to deal with the whole VAT/GST thing on international sales, since we sell off the Inkprint site and are so not set up to do the whole sending-tax-to-other-national-governments, like whoa.

Today, I realised a solution.

I mean, there are things like PayHip and Book Funnel and what not, which are great and deal with the tax for you – but afaik they’re not really set up to deal with digital AND print AND signed copies AND book plates AND subscriptions, etc.

Enter Etsy.

I mean, I’ve been using Etsy for yeeeeeears, but it only just occurred to me that this was a neat way around the tax issue, while giving us the flexibility to sell multiple product types. So: from today, you can buy all Inkprint books direct from us (which means we get a lot more of the cover price, if that sort of thing matters to you at all) via Etsy

And how does this related to Inklets?

BECAUSE. WE NOW HAVE SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGES. AND THEY ARE A REALLY GOOD DEAL.

The individual Inklets are going to retail for $2.99 per “issue” (each issue has a short story ranging from 500 – 6000 words, an author’s note about the making of the story, and the first chapter of the author’s novel most similar to the short story), but you can get a 6-month subscription of 12 issues for only $25, or a 12-month subscription of 24 issues for only $50. It’s a steal: 24 issues at full price totals $71.76. Yay!

You can gift the subscriptions to a friend, and you can nominate the start date – jump in with the current issue, or go back and start from the beginning – it’s all up to you!!

Plus, they are super, super cute B-)

You guys. These Inklets are just turning out so well. I am so very, very happy with them 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
