The first issue of Aurealis magazine (Australia’s premier sff magazine, and home of the prestigious Aurealis Awards) is out for 2021, and it features a non-fiction article on vampires by yours truly 🙂
I’m doing a series on the symbolic meaning of a variety of supernatural/paranormal/fantastical creatures for Aurealis this year (although the first one, on mermaids, came out last year), and it’s lot of fun doing the research and digging into the roots of these various beings.
