Made-It Monday: Sketches For Short Stories

Welcome to #MadeItMonday, where I post something I’ve made in the previous week, and where you can join in and post something you made too! The rules are easy: post a pic somewhere of something you’ve made in the last week (ish; let’s say in the last month as the hard-and-fast) and tag it. Sit back and enjoy scrolling through all the beautiful things we’ve collectively created, and celebrate the fact that humans can be awesome!

The Kickstarter for And Then I Shall Transform (OUT TODAY, OMG!!) went well, and hit a couple of stretch goals, one of which was to do illustrations for the collection of short stories, one for each story. I was a bit excited about that stretch goal, because I actually really enjoyed doing the illustrations for the Inklets, and I tell you what, shockingly enough, you DO learn a lot when you do it 100 times over! Wild, right? :’D

So yeah, having not had Inklet illustrations to work on for over a year now, I was pleased for the excuse to dive back into my lil ink sketches. Here’s my favourite illustration from the collection (which, I keep meaning to take the story down but as of posting this it’s still up, so you can read the entire first short story in the collection here for free), and the weirdest illustration from the collection (which, the story is Romeo & Juliet as stomach bacteria, y’all – it was ALWAYS going to be weird! :D).

And now, what have you made this week? Don’t forget to tag your contribution, or even better, leave a link in the comments!! I love seeing what inspiring things other people have made 🙂 🙂 🙂
